Santiago de Compostela - Ferrol - Viveiro (Saturday)

Reception at the Parador Nacional de los Reyes Católicos de Santiago de Compostela at 10:00 hrs. Afterwards, we will visit the historical center of the city and have lunch. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Ferrol with our bus where the Costa Verde Express train will be waiting for us. Presentation of the crew that will accompany us throughout the trip and accommodation in your suite, while the train Cosa Verde Express begins the Transcantabrian Route heading to Viveiro. Visit of the town and free time in Viveiro. Dinner and overnight in Viveiro.

From Viveiro and while having breakfast on board the train, we will arrive to Ribadeo. Visit of this beautiful stately village, declared of tourist interest, free time and lunch in this town. In the afternoon, the Costa Verde Express train will head for Luarca, known as La Villa Blanca de la Costa Verde and the first Asturian enclave of our route. Visit of the old town. Dinner on board and overnight in Oviedo.

Ribadeo, Galicia

Ribadeo (Galicia)

Ribadeo has several interesting places to visit, the most important being the paleolithic site of Louselas and the Chapel of Atalaya and the Castle of San Damian, as well as the emblematic Convent of Santa Clara. Breakfast on board the train and then with our bus we will arrive to the stately city of Gijón to visit the most emblematic places and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit of Oviedo with its historic center of undeniable medieval flavor and capital of the Principality of Asturias. Visit and free time in the city. In the late afternoon, return to the train to go to the fishing village of Llanes. Dinner and overnight on board in Llanes.

After breakfast on board the train, we will depart by bus to the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park to visit the Sanctuary of Covadonga, a neo-Romanesque basilica located next to the cave where the image of the Santina (the Virgin of Covadonga) is venerated, a place of worship and pilgrimage, Lake Enol of glacial origin and Cangas de Onis, the first capital of the Asturian Kingdom. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit of the town of Llanes where we can admire the excellent preservation of its monumental heritage, then depart for Cantabria, dinner on board and overnight in Cabezón de la Sal.

During breakfast, the Costa Verde Express train will move on to the Basque Country, arriving in the capital of Biscay, Bilbao. After lunch, we will head back to the train station of Bilbao "La Concordia", where the trip will end around 16:00 hrs.
